    Our lab mainly focus on the synthesis of semiconductor nanomaterials, characterizations and applications of novel functional devices, including solar cells (hybrid design, involvement of two-dimensional materials and quantum dots), thin-film thermoelectric devices, gas/optical sensing, photocatalytic applications, metamaterials and semiconductor engineering.

    The Solid State Circuits and Systems Laboratory was established in 2003, and the host is Prof. Soon-Jyh Chang. The main research direction of our team is mixed-signal integrated circuit design, testing and design automation, especially for analog-to-digital converters (ADC).

Processing moderate-resolution optical satellite imagery for water quality monitoring; 5. Analysis of bio-optical properties of water for better retrieval of water constituent concentrations from remotely sensed data; 6. Surface water quality modeling for watershed-scale management of water pollution sources.
