The Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS)aims to heighten the standard of research in the humanities and social sciences, to promote interdisciplinary academic integration, and to fulfill university social responsibility by innovative humanities research and social practices. It not only integrates domestic and international resources and research capacities with those of NCKU's relevant departments and centers, but also strengthens regionally focused research themes, and develops research focused on the relationship between Taiwan and globalization. The center also helps establish highly active, thematic research groups, and train young scholars in the humanities and social sciences.
