Taiwan BT&D² Team at NCKU is a multidisciplinary and international team specializing in developing and applying technology in development of drugs, neutraceuticals and cosmeceuticals for prevention and treatments of diseases, including cancers, infectious diseases, chronic diseases and metabolic syndrome disease. By integrating academic research and medical institutions, Taiwan BT&D² Team establishes  an efficient drug discovery and development system utilizing both Western and Eastern medicine and empirical science, which allows us to greatly reduce  cost and time in tranditional drug research and development. The team also established the Asia-Pacific BT&D2 Alliance (APBA) to collaborate with and integrate domestic and international institutes to develop useful technology and products. The team has won several awards in many entrepreneurial competitions, including the Dragon Smile competition and Biomedical and New Agriculture entrepreneurial competition. The research fields of the team include Chemistry, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Information Engineering, Technology Management, Traditional Chinese Medicines, Biotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, Pre-Clinical and Clinical Trials and business development, etc.
