With the advance in the medical technology, surgical simulation training is important in the learning of clinical technique for trainees before their clinical practice. In addition, the working hours restriction for the residents attenuates their clinical experience. In order to solve this issue, National Cheng-Kung University medical college sets up the Surgical Skills Development Center, which offers not only a hand-on cadaveric studio for students and residents to practice surgical techniques, but also a 3D interactive video system for anatomy learning. Combination with the nearby anatomic dissection lab, this is a compressive anatomy teaching center, which can offer basic and clinical medical education programs to medical students, nurse practitioners, and surgeons.
