Integrated Display Circuit & Bio-System Application Laboratory focuses on promoting the development of domestic display industry and improving the welfare of the elderly’s care. For display circuit design, the current and future industry mainstreams such as AMOLED, LCD, and Mini/Micro LED integrated with systems are based on industry-academia cooperation with domestic display manufacturers. The augmented reality (AR)/virtual reality (VR) applications, fingerprint recognition, optical sensing, and other functions are developed simultaneously, realizing high quality images on display to enhance the innovation ability and competitiveness of domestic display industry. For the development of biomedical systems, the research focuses on the elderly’s care combining with technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), embedded systems and IoT to develop cognitive assessment training and fall detection prevention. Relevant results won Macronix Golden Silicon Awards, Fresh Competition of Ministry of Economic Affairs, Future Tech Award of the Ministry of Science and Technology and other competition awards. Moreover, the developed systems are also applied to improve the quality of the elderly’s life through the cooperation with medical and long-term care units.
