ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to develop a task-oriented virtual reality mirror therapy (VRMT) system with haptic feedback. The scenes in virtual reality can reduce the patient's unease about the medical place, and the design of the task-oriented movement can turn the tedious and repetitive rehabilitation movements into more interesting daily movements. However, due to individual differences, different patients have different visual illusions for mirror therapy. Therefore, Oculus touch controllers and handmade vibration gloves provide vibration stimulation of the healthy hand and the affected hand, which can be improved by the combination of vibration stimulation and visual stimulation. Through the combination of vibration stimulation and visual stimulation to improve the generation of visual illusions, the task-oriented VRMT system can achieve a better rehabilitation effect.
